Bódogh Family Coat of Arms

The Bódogh family was granted nobility and the coat of arms on January 30, 1611 by the Hungarian King, Matthias II.  The nobility and coat of arms was granted to our distant ancestor Michaëli (Mihály) Bódogh and his brother Petro (Péter).  All members of the Bódogh family, whether they were male or female, were titled noble and could bear the coat of arms.  But, the title and the coat of arms was only passed down through the male line.

The Bódogh family comes into our family tree through Eszter (Tóth) Gombash.  Her father's (Károly Tóth) mother was Zsuzsánna Bódogh.
