The Porkoláb family from Hajdunánás began with István Porkoláb and his wife Ilona Lovász. They had five children: Mihály, János, Demeter, István and Katalin. It was also received by István's two brothers: Ferencz and Antal. The family was granted nobility by King Leopold I on 10 Oct 1668 in Ebersdorf.
