When no father is listed for a child, the child is illegitimate.
There may be a case when the mother's
deceased husband's name follows her name, example:
"Tálas
Julianna özv. Szendi Ferencz".
This simply means the
mother Julianna is the widow of Ferencz, but the child is NOT
Ferencz's. It is an illegitimate child, with the father's
name unknown.
A child that is born
posthumously has the father's name listed in the father's
column, followed by the word "néh." |
