One of the earliest
mentionings of Tiszadob was in 1332. It was again mentioned six years
later in 1338, from a document in the archives of the Zichy family. It
stated: "Due possessiones Dub iuxta fluv. Tycia".
As early as 1405, Tiszadob was
a recorded possession of the Doby
family. In 1422, possession of Tiszadob was then passed onto the
Monoky family, and then sometime after that it was passed onto it's
last holders, the Andrássy
family.
The current church in
Tiszadob was built in 1757, and vital records offically began being
recorded in 1786. |
