The Szük family was granted nobility on
09 Jun 1690 by King Leopold I. There's also another noble Szük family
that's most likely related, but I don't know how yet. They lived in
Bodrogkeresztúr, which was about three towns north-east of Taktaszada.
This family was granted nobility on 11 Mar 1655 by King Ferdinand III.
I know of two Szük
branches that exist so far of the 1690 family, although I do not know how they connect
just yet. The branch that I descend from resided in Taktaszada,
a neighbor to the north of Tiszadob. The other branch resided in
Szerencs, a neighbor to the north of Taktaszada. A branch of the Szerencs family later moved to Tiszadob. |
