$1,000 reward for a negro boy named Sam or Sampson who after committing
an atrocious murder on John M. Netterville on the 12th, & made
his escape. Said negro was bought of Reece Howell, of Tennessee, Lincoln
County in the year of 1829. He is 21 or 22 years of age and it is
possible that he has a white accomplice.
