On 1 Sep 1741 in Brunswick County, Virginia, Michael Cadet Young (of St. Andrew parish in Brunswick County) sold 125 acres of land to Richard Blalock (of St. Martin parish in Hanover County) for 25 pounds. The land was in Brunswick County on the North side of Roanoak River, opposite to Cone Island, and part of a 554 acres tract of land originally granted to John Davis. The land was described as "beginning at Rawlings's corner thence along his line to Philip Morgan's line, thence along his line to Roanoak River aforesaid, thence along the said river to the beginning." The witnesses to the deed were John Ward, Millinton Blalack and John Dodd. The deed was proven in court on 3 Sep 1741 by Michael Cadet Young.

On 1 Jun 1743 in Louisa County, Virginia, Richard Blalack sold 104 acres of land to Philip Timberlake for 30 pounds sterling. The land was described as being in Louisa County "on the lower side of Cubb Creek bounded as followeth, beginning at William Blalacks corner maple standing on the lower side of Cubb Creek near the crossing place of the road, thence South 68 East on William Blalacks line 100 poles to his schrubby white oak saplin being a corner of the said Williams, thence South 55 East 107 poles to a corner of several trees standing by the roadside being another corner of the said Williams, thence South 43 West 150 poles to Richard Harris's corner schrubby white and pine, thence on Harris's line North 42 West 188 poles to Cubb Creek, thence up the same following the water course to the beginning." The witnesses to the deed were Roger Thompson, Humphry Parish and Jeremiah Glen. A memorandum was also created by Richard Blalack to acknowledge having "made a livery of siezen of the land and promise in the within deed contained by the delivery of a Turf and Twigg of the said land unto the said Philip Timberlake." The witnesses for the memorandum were the same Roger Thompson, Humphrey Parish and Jeremiah Glen. The deed was proven in court on 13 Jun 1743 by Richard Blalack and his wife Rachel.

On 13 Jun 1743 in Louisa County, Virginia, the court ordered "an indenture of feoffment between Richard Blalock of the one part and Philip Timberlake of the other part with a memorandum of livery of seisin thereon endorsed were acknowledged by the said Richard (also Rachel the wife of the said Richard being first privily examined relinquished all her right and title of dower of in and unto the lands and appurtenances in the said indenture mentioned) and ordered to be recorded."

The defendant confessed by a note produced to the court and the court found for the plaintiff to recover 5 pounds 9 shillings and 5 pence, including court costs.
