On 4 Oct 1775 in Clonfert, County Galway, Ireland, farmer Stephen Costello wrote his last will and testament. He bequeathed to his wife Margaret Watters [Walters?], as well as his three children Lawrence (1st son), Christopher (2nd son), and Joseph (3rd son). The witnesses to the will were Martin Costello of Coltragh [Caltragh] and William Costello br[other] of Martin.
