The 1815-1817 territorial census for Monroe County, Alabama shows Hays Rodgers' father James Rodgers being taxed on the same page as William York [page 10], Jonathan York [page 14], and Thomas York, Jonathan York and Patrick Scott [page 16].

NOTE: It is my suspicion that this census was indeed taken in 1815, as son Hays Rodgers appears being taxed in the 1816 list of taxable property for Monroe County, and was later married to Mary A. Scott that same year.
