Chronological Timeline:
Joseph Adas and Mariann Plecki were married on 18 Jan 1874 in St. Albertus Church in Detroit, Wayne County, Michigan. The marriage record was found on microfilm via the Polish Genealogical Society of Michigan, has inverted text and faded in some areas (image below).
The groom was Joseph Adas, single bachelor of Detroit and 24 years old of Putzig Westpreuss, the bride was Marianna Plecki, single virgin of Detroit and 28 years old born 15 August of Mechau Kr. Neustadt. They married 18 January 1874 with witnesses August ? and Victoria ?.
It's unclear when and through which port they immigrated, however, Joseph Adas first began appearing in the city directories for Detroit, Michigan in 1874. They resided there for about ten years, before they relocated to Chicago in 1884.

On 1 Jul 1881 in Detroit, Wayne County, Michigan, the Detroit Free Press published an article regarding building permits:
"Building Permits.
Since Tuesday noon, Fire Marshal Baxter has issued the following permits to build, improve, make additions, etc.:
Joseph Adas, addition to frame dwelling No. 111 Superior street, 225"
On 4 Apr 1883 in Detroit, Wayne County, Michigan, Anton Pulte and his wife Elizabeth sold a tract of land in the city of Detroit to Joseph Adas for $225.50. The tract of land was described as "Lot numbered four (4) in Block sixty six (66) of the subdivision of the west part of private land claim number ninety one (91) Dubois Farm so called according to the plat of said subdivision as recorded in the office of the Register of Deeds for said Wayne County in Book four (4) of Plats on page forty one (41)." The witnesses to the deed were Joseph Pulte, a notary public, and Peter Kleffmann. Anton Pulte and his wife Elizabeth proved the deed in court on 4 Apr 1883.

On 5 Feb 1884 in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois, Sylvester H. Laflin and his wife Anna W. of St. Louis MO and Joseph M. Boies of Sangerties, Ulster CO, NY conveyed a tract of land to Joseph Adas of Chicago, IL for $233.33. The tract of land was described as:
"An undivided two thirds (2/3) of Lot eighteen (18) in Block three (3) in Springer and Fox's Addition to Chicago. Said addition being laid on the North East quarter (NE1/4) of the North West quarter (NW1/4) of Section thirty two (32) Town thirty nine (39) North Range fourteen (14) East of the Third (3rd) Principal Meridian. Subject however to all taxes and assessments subsequent to those of the year 1883."
The witness to the deed was Charles Davis of Sangerties, a notary public, who certified the deed 25 Feb 1884. Another notary public Frank E. G. Carr certified the deed on 4 Mar 1884 in St. Louis, Missouri. The deed was registered on 16 Apr 1884 at 1pm; record #537,998.

On 21 Sep 1885 in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois, Joseph Adas and his wife Mary created a trust deed with John Lang for $300. The following real estate was described as:
"Lot eighteen (18) in Block three (3) in Springer and Fox's Addition to Chicago. Said addition being laid on the Northeast quarter (NE1/4) of the Northwest quarter (NW1/4) of Section thirty two (32) Town thirty nine (39) North Range fourteen (14) East of the Third (3rd) Principal Meridian: together with all the buildings and improvements now thereon and which may hereafter be placed thereon."
The deed further states Joseph Adas is indebted to John Lang for a promissory note "for the sum of three hundred 00/100 dollars ($300 00/100) due three years after the date thereof, with interest at the rate of six per cent per annum payable annually at the office of the Treasurer of the St. Georges Benovelent Association.
"And the parties of the first part [Adas] do covenant and agree to keep all buildings and improvements on the premises hereby conveyed insured against fire, until said note with interest is fully paid for a sum not less than three hundred 00/100 dollars in such insurance cipanies as the legal holder of said note shall approve and the policies and all premiums and all reverral [referral] certificates herefore shall be assigned and delivered to the said legal holder as additional security therefore."
Stephan Eireiner was appointed successor of the trust, "in case of the death, resignation, removal from said Cook County, or other inability to act of said grantee John Lang." The witness to the deed was Anton Work. The deed was certified by notary public John S. Thurn on 21 Sep 1885 and registered the next day on 22 Sep 1885 at 1pm; record #655,532.

On 22 Sep 1885 Chicago, Cook County, Illinois, trustee William A. Bond conveyed unto Joseph Adas the same tract of land for $1. The quit claim referenced an original trust deed dated 5 Feb 1885 in book 1460 and page 63. The deed was certified by notary public Henry L. Turner on 22 Sep 1885 and registered on the same day at 1pm; record #655,531.
"Lot eighteen (18) in Block three (3) in Springer and Fox's Addition to Chicago. Said addition being laid on the Northeast quarter (NE1/4) of the Northwest quarter (NW1/4) of Section thirty two (32) Town thirty nine (39) North Range fourteen (14) East of the Third (3rd) Principal Meridian situated in Cook County Illinois. The indebtedness secured by said trust deed having been fully paid and the notes cancelled before maturity."

On 10 Aug 1889, The Daily Inter Ocean of Chicago, Illinois published a list of new suits in the Superior Court of Cook County, Illinois. An entity called A. G. Schmidt & Co. was suing Joseph Adas for an assessed $1,000. The case number was 123,294.
This suit was requested at the Circuit Court Archive at the Daley Center in 2018 and nothing could be found in their warehouse.
The Chicago Chronicle published an article on 26 Feb 1897, on page 11, about Joseph Adas' alcoholism and he mistakenly being sent to a "detention hospital." The "detention hospital" mentioned was likely the Dunning Insane Aslyum.
The Washingtonian Home was founded in 1863 in Chicago as a residential treatment center for alcoholism.

On 7 Aug 1928 in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois, the Polish newspaper Dziennik Chicagoski published an obituary for Augustyna Lawlowska:
"Augustyna Lawlowska passed on August 5th, 1928 and was buried on the 8th from her home at 5315 S. Justine to Resurrection Cemetery. Left behind brothers Józef, August and Franciszek Plecey, sister Marjanna Adas; sister-in-laws Marjanna, Augustyn and Augustyna Plecki; brother-in-law Józef Adas."
On 11 Dec 1928 in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois, the Polish newspaper Dziennik Chicagoski published an obituary for Marjanna Adas (Marianna Rosalia Pletzke):
"Marjanna Adas passed on December 10, 1928 and the funeral will be held the 13th from residence 4612 S. Lincoln to Sacred Heart of Jesus at 9am, onward to Resurrection Cemetery. Leaves behind husband Józef Adas; sons Jan and Józef; daughters Marjanna, Marta and Rozalja; son-in-laws Tomasz Cichowlas, Jan Kristufek and Jan Bachorz; daughter-in-laws Anna, Józefa and Marjanna."
The 1930 federal census has Joseph Adas enumerated on 10 Apr 1930 at 4612 Lincoln St., Chicago, Cook County, Illinois, in the household of his son-in-law Thomas Cichowlas.
