A roll of Captain Thomas Sterrett's Company of Kentucky Detached Military, commanded by Lieutenant Colonel William Mitchusson, shows John Costilow. He served in the 14th Regiment as a drummer, enlisting on 20 Nov 1814 and was discharged on 20 May 1815.
NOTE: Men from Captain Thomas Sterrett's Company are known to have been neighbors and locals from Warren County, Kentucky. This company was present during the Battle of New Orleans on 8 Jan 1815.
